The idea that teachers should be in constant control of their emotions is a myth. The first week of school, I read Carol Hallīs poem, "Itīs Alright to Cry." While this doesnīt cause a rash of teary-eyed kids, it does start a epidemic of shared feelings. A good stepping stone for class discussions about feelings.
