Sax contributed an entire family of brass wind instruments for band and orchestra use. •John Philip Sousa´s Birthday - (b 1854) American composer and band conductor, remembered for stirring marches such as "The Stars and Stripes Forever," "Semper Fidelis," and "El Capitan." •Gustavus Adolphus Day - Honors Sweden´s King and military leader killed in 1632.
